• Zones of Regulation (What Zone are you in?)The Zones of Regulation is a curriculum geared toward helping students gain skills in consciously regulating their actions, which in turn leads to increased control and problem solving abilities. Using a cognitive behavior approach, the curriculum’s learning activities are designed to help students recognize when they are in different states called “zones,” with each of four zones represented by a different color. 

•  Restorative Practices- This is an emerging social science that studies how to strengthen relationships between individuals, as well as, social connections within communities. At Lincoln we start our day with a circle and use this process as the main resource to resolve conflicts.

• Trauma Informed Care-Becoming “trauma-informed” means recognizing that people often have many different types of trauma in their lives. People who have been traumatized need support and understanding from those around them. Often, trauma survivors can be re-traumatized by well-meaning caregivers and community service providers. Understanding the impact of trauma is an important first step in becoming a compassionate and supportive community.
