Welcome to Lincoln Elementary!

Home of the Lions, Lincoln Elementary is a vibrant school community known for its strong, inclusive culture, academic excellence, and nurturing learning environment. For the past two years, we have proudly been recognized as a Level 5 school by the State of Tennessee for our outstanding TVAAS growth scores. Our students consistently exceed expectations, making more than a year’s worth of academic growth, and we are excited to continue this achievement!

At Lincoln, we believe that education is about more than just academics. We are committed to creating a positive and safe space where all students feel valued and supported. Each day, our students embrace our four core expectations: respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, and safety. These values are not just words—they are part of a shared language that guides our behavior and interactions every day.

Another cornerstone of our school culture is our commitment to restorative practices. Each morning, every class participates in "circles" to foster connection and empathy. These circles allow students to learn more about one another, celebrate their similarities, and address any challenges that arise in a positive, solution-focused way. With our diverse student body, this approach helps us build a strong sense of community and mutual respect.

Our dedicated teachers and staff have extensive experience working with students from all backgrounds and experiences. We understand that every child comes with unique challenges and strengths, and we take a whole-child approach to ensure that each student feels supported in all aspects of their development. At Lincoln, students feel empowered to take risks, grow, and achieve their full potential in a safe and encouraging environment.

Part of what makes Lincoln so special is our strong partnership with parents and guardians. We host multiple family events throughout the year to bring families into the school and ensure that we are working together to support each student’s success.

Lincoln Elementary has a proud tradition in Kingsport, spanning over 100 years. It’s not uncommon to meet someone in the community who has a connection to our school—a grandparent, neighbor, or family friend. We are deeply proud of our school’s legacy and are excited about the work we’re doing today to continue our tradition of excellence.
